Yesterday, FDNY members performed two water rescues at two separate incidents. In the morning, EMTs Matthew Kenny and Kieran Lennon from Station 17 entered the swiftly moving East River and were able to rescue an individual who was in distress and being pulled under the surface. They were quickly able to bring this person to the rocky shoreline where they were able to provide medical care to the patient. Later in the afternoon, Firefighter Kyle Scanlon from Engine 210 was off duty when he notice
